Dedicated to Bill

My first truly ambient piece was written for my dog, Bill, after he passed away. He was my family’s beloved Luck Dragon. It lead me to realise that I was more capable of expressing emotion when I kept the instrumentation simple and focussed, and the effect was more universal. I wanted to create a sense of nostalgia and open-ended emotion that could apply to anyone’s private experiences - the moments that exist in the world, waiting for us to experience them, yet so often remain undiscovered. This music is dedicated to Bill and the memory of his long happy life, and I hope others can attach their own significance to these songs as they find themselves in those moments.
